Fred Ferrarini
ProCom Lodging Brokers, Inc. is a father and son business operated by Fred F. Ferrarini, CHB and Steven R. Ferrarini, CHB, with over 60 years of combined real estate sales experience. Throughout their history they have been at the forefront of lodging brokerage, particularly along the Central Coast area of California but also on a statewide and national level. As a result of their dedication and efforts they have received numerous industry awards, some of which are listed below. Part of their success they attribute to the fact that they consider themselves “relationship brokers” as opposed to “transaction brokers”. They take this distinction to mean that they value the relationships they build with clients and prefer to maintain and grow those relationships over a long period of time by providing a high level of professional, personal service using old-fashioned, traditional values and 21st century technology, versus moving from one transaction to another with different parties.
They are affiliated with HOTEL BROKERS INTERNATIONAL (“HBI”), a network of hotel brokers throughout North America founded in 1959 and consistently represents the largest share of all lodging property transactions in the United States.
Fred F. Ferrarini, CHB has been involved in the financial service industry since 1966, after graduating from Queens College (NY) with a B.A. degree in Political Science. He received his real estate license in 1969 and has been a licensed real estate broker since 1972, and has been involved in virtually every aspect of real estate and business, having concluded hundreds of successful transactions. He received the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 1977and his Certified Hotel Broker (CHB) designation in 2000. Each year of his career he has attended various educational conferences and seminars to continue sharpening his knowledge and skills. During his career he has been chairman of various business and community boards. He has played a major role in the organization of a nationally-chartered bank and was founder and charter president of a financial planning (IAFP) county chapter. He is a nationally respected, award-winning hotel broker who currently serves on the HBI Membership committee and formerly served as co-Chairman of HBI’s International Committee and as a member of the national HBI Board of Directors. He is also HBI’s principal member liaison with FIABCI, the renowned international real estate federation.
Fred F. Ferrarini is also active with FIABCI, a 60-year old international federation of real estate professionals representing 65 countries. The FIABCI-USA chapter is the largest in the federation and currently he serves on the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Nominating Committee, and Principal Member Committee. He is a recipient of the Medal of Honor and has attended the recent World Congresses in Barcelona and Amsterdam. He has attended United Nations briefings on world economies. (FIABCE enjoys ‘Special Consultative’ status at the United Nations and advises the United Nations on various aspects regarding real estate activities). Each year through FIABCI he attends and receives briefings from various embassies (most recently Austria, Holland, China, France) on their economies and conducting international business with them.
Fred F. Ferrarini has also served on the board of the San Luis Obispo County Visitors & Conference Bureau.
As a result of their high level of professionalism and expertise, ProCom Lodging Brokers, Inc. has been nationally recognized for their efforts. Some recent awards and recognition they have received include: Certified Hotel Broker (2000); HBI Board Director (2000-2002); HBI Top Broker, Pacific/Mountain Region; HBI Top Sales man, Pacific/Mountain Region; HBI Largest Portfolio Sale (3 times); HBI Unique Deal of the Year; Brokered the UCLA Hotel Investment Conference’s “1999 Hotel Deal of the Year”.
