Kevin Gonzalez, Ed.D., has been the Director of Major and Planned Gifts at Sacramento State since 2010.  Over a 19 year career in the Advancement profession, Mr. Gonzalez has worked in Special Events, Alumni Relations, Annual Fund, Major Gifts and Planned Giving.

Starting his professional career at Jesuit High School, Sacramento in 1995, Mr. Gonzalez worked as Annual Fund manager and Alumni Director. Mr. Gonzalez then spent seven years at Santa Clara University, moving from their Development Department after two years to be the Director for Alumni Relations and the Annual Fund for the SCU School of Law.

As Senior Development Officer at Pacific McGeorge, Mr. Gonzalez worked with and managed relationships with all advisory boards, including the Alumni Board, the International Alumni Board, Planned Giving Council, Health Institute Advisory Council, and all major prospects.

In his current position as Director of Major and Planned Gifts, Mr. Gonzalez coordinates all planned giving efforts for the Sacramento State, and works as major gifts officer for the College of Arts and Letters.  He also supervises gift officers for the Colleges of Education, Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Engineering and Computer Sciences, and a regional position as well.
In the community, Mr. Gonzalez most recently served on the Board and Executive Committee for the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as Parliamentarian.

Kevin and Kim Gonzalez have two daughters, Kaitlin and Kendall, and live in Roseville, CA. They enjoy living in Roseville because of its outstanding recreational facilities and programming. Kevin stills plays soccer and ice hockey and coaches outdoor and indoor soccer with Kim, and is a certified U.S. Swimming Official and soccer official.   

Kevin Gonzalez graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Recreation Administration, from Santa Clara University with a MBA concentrating in Finance, and most recently with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Sacramento State.
