MEET THE STAFF OF THE REPORT

The Report staff are nominated by RPTA faculty for demonstrating excellent writing skills in RPTA classes. Student writers then coordinate with the editor and faculty advisor Brian Greenwood to develop and write articles.

Keri Schwab brings her journalism experience to the newsletter and will serve as the assistant faculty advisor for Academic Year 2013-14.

The editor for 2013-14 was Kevin Mould (RPTA '14). After several years as a staff writer, this was Kevin's first year as editor. Thanks for stepping up, Kevin, and we wish you best of luck moving forward in your career!

The staff writers for this edition of The Report included:
Heidi Reighard (RPTA '14), Ari Kamp (RPTA '15), Alyssa Beatton (RPTA '16), and Anna Bach (RPTA '17).

Here's more about the staff:

Kevin Mould (RPTA '14), Editor Picture of Mould
After serving as a staff writer for three years, Mould was thrilled to step into the position of editor for his last few quarters. A fourth-year student from Mountain View, Calif., Mould is concentrating in sport management, which he hopes to use as the starting point for a successful sports marketing career. A lifelong fan of Bay Area sports, Mould was excited to follow his passion at Cal Poly.

Heidi Reighard (RPTA '14), Staff WriterHeidi Reighard
Reighard is a fourth-year student from Park City, Utah, who is concentrating in hospitality and tourism management. Growing up on the slopes, she hopes to work in the ski industry after graduation to create exciting experiences for others and influence an appreciation for the environment through recreation. Reighard has enjoyed living in San Luis Obispo and becoming fully engaged and inspired through the RPTA department and is excited to see what the next chapter in life will bring her!

Ari Kamp (RPTA ‘15), Staff WriterAri Kamp
Kamp is a Montana native, born and raised in the town of Bozeman, which she likens to San Luis Obispo. She grew up with a strong outdoor presence in her life that has influenced her decision to be involved with RPTA with an outdoor adventure emphasis. She hopes to work with others to generate rewarding experiences in an outdoor setting while also having a positive effect on the environment. She is most in her element when she is on or by the water and can take part in physically engaging and fun activities such as paddle boarding and hiking. As a transfer student from Santa Barbara City College, Kamp is excited to make the most of her next two years at Cal Poly and take advantage of everything RPTA has to offer! See her feature in the Winter 2014 edition of The Report.

Alyssa Beatton (RPTA ‘16), Staff WriterAlyssa Beatton
A second year student at Cal Poly, Beatton is eager and excited to be writing for The Report this year. Beatton grew up in Santa Cruz, Calif., where she developed a love for the ocean, beach volleyball, and San Francisco Giants baseball. With a concentration in sport management, she hopes to someday work for a major league baseball team. She took a stride towards that goal by serving as a Junior Giants Ambassador in the summer of 2013. Beatton is happy to be a part of an RPTA family filled with great people and exciting opportunities.

Anna Bach (RPTA ’17), Staff WriterAnna Bach
As a first year student at Cal Poly, Bach is excited for the opportunity to be on staff for The Report as a way to learn more about RPTA in a unique way. Bach grew up in Folsom, Calif., and recently moved to Orange County. She loves the beach, spending time with friends and family, and all things Disney. Bach hopes to pursue a career in special events planning, and is excited for the many opportunities RPTA is likely to provide.
